Internet information, cookies and “Do not track” requests

Cookies are small files often placed on web browsers by websites that are visited, or by those sites’ content partners. Cookies help sites remember returning visitors. For example, a cookie can tell a given site that you’ve registered in the past, so that you don’t need to sign in for each new visit. Cookies help customize your view of sites according to your preferences.

We might use the following kinds of cookies on the Sites:

Strictly necessary cookies. This type of cookie is required for operation of the Sites. This includes cookies which enable you to login to the secure areas of the Sites, use shopping carts or use e-billing services.

Analytical or performance cookies. This kind of cookie allows us to recognize visitors to the Sites and count them, as well as observe how visitors navigate the Sites. It helps us improve the user experience of the Sites.

Functionality cookies. This type lets the Sites recognize you when returning after an initial visit. It helps us personalize content for you and remember your preferences, such as your choice of language and time zone.

Targeting cookies. These record your visits to the Sites, including which pages you visited and any links you may have followed. We use this data to make the Sites and any advertising displayed on them more relevant to visitors’ interests. Also, TRS or third parties acting for us might use cookies to present you with information about TRS services. These cookies might also be used by third parties unrelated to TRS to provide information regarding services or goods which you might find helpful during a move or relocation.

You are free to choose regarding the use of cookies. You may use preference settings in your web browser in order to control, view and delete any cookies. You may check the “Help” menu on your browser for more information. You can also choose to “opt out” to avoid receiving any advertisements or other cookies, by using certain services as are provided by organizations like the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance. You can learn more about the “opt out” procedure by visiting their websites at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.networkadvertising.org.

By visiting any Site without first blocking or removing cookies, you consent to the use of cookies and other technologies in connection with the Sites, as described here in this Privacy Policy. Also, some of the Sites rely on servers that use log-file formats which capture additional information about your use of those Sites, including the time and date of your visits, the referring addresses, types of browsers, and IP addresses. The log file doesn’t capture your e-mail address or other identifying information about you. We use this type of information to secure and maintain the Sites, monitor patterns of usage, protect intellectual property rights, and improve the content and appearance of the Sites.

“Do Not Track” is a privacy initiative intended to develop a standard method by which an Internet user may signal websites that he or she doesn’t want to be tracked by any third parties. You can learn more about the initiative here:

http://www.w3.org/2011/tracking-protection/

“Do Not Track” hasn’t been standardized yet, since there is no consensus about precisely how websites should reply to this kind of signal. Like many other business websites, our Sites do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

Google Analytics

Some of our Sites use Google Analytics and/or Google Display Advertising to collect data about anonymous user activity by using both third-party and first-party cookies. TRS uses Google Display Advertising and other features which gather data through cookies from DoubleClick and other third-party providers, in order to:

● Better serve you with relevant ads after you leave our Sites
● Provide us with insight about how various advertising services relate to Site visits
● Identify trends in Site usage, and publish those trends in our internal reports

Google Analytics gathers IP addresses. We rely on your IP address to know the geographic locations where the Sites are being used. Your IP address doesn’t identify you individually, nor does it contain any personal information.

You can choose to opt-out or customize Google Analytics and Display Advertising by using Google’s Ad Settings. You may learn more here:

https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662856?hl=en&ref_topic=2971788

You can also choose to opt-out from Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on for your browser, which you can find here:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.

Please keep in mind that if you choose to opt-out of such tracking, you’ll continue to receive ads while you browse the Internet, but the ads won’t be tailored to fit your own interests.

Visiting other websites

Other websites that you visit which are hosted by third parties, including those which might be linked to or from our Sites, might have their own individual privacy policies, or they may have no policies at all. TRS isn’t responsible for nor liable for the independent privacy policy of any third-party website, nor for any lack of policy. And, the inclusion of any link within a Site doesn’t necessarily mean that we would endorse that third-party company, its website, or any of its services or products.

When you visit one of our Sites then leave in order to visit a third-party website, the data which is transferred to that third party might include a referring address that shows you came from our Site. This allows such third parties to monitor their own web traffic.

Children’s privacy online

None of our Sites are directed at children, nor are they intended to be viewed by children under the age of 13. We don’t knowingly gather any Personal Information on the Sites directly from children, and if we become aware that a child has disclosed such information without appropriate parental consent we will destroy that information.

Access to Personal Information, and questions

We will provide a reasonable opportunity for you to access your Personal Information, correct inaccuracies, or delete it if appropriate. As subject to applicable legal requirements, (1) any such request must be reasonable in scope, and (2) TRS reserves the right to deny access if the expense or burden of providing such access would be disproportionate when considering the risks to privacy, or when the rights of others might be violated by such access.

If you want to request access to your Personal Information, or if you have any questions regarding our policies, please contact us at info@trsmoving.com or 1-800-432-9512

This Privacy Policy has last been updated as of October 2015. TRS reserves the right to change or update this Policy without other notice simply by posting a revised policy on a Site at any time. Your continuing use of any Site after a change in this Policy indicates your consent to this Policy and any subsequent changes.
